Get Back, Get Real, Get Going

My friend reminded me that the coming weekend is a Bank Holiday in the UK. My friend says it will be a ‘ virtual ‘ holiday and I enquired if he meant ‘ holidays, virtually all the time ? ‘

Surely with the stay at home the stay away that 7 weeks that Covid19 brought, the funding of the disaster by UK Government I don’t understand why we are having ANY holidays. Surely it’s time to cancel everything and get productive. The numbers signing on for support and the number 5 million worried about losing their jobs surely it’s knuckle down time.

The Children’s Summer School Holidays should be cancelled and allow Society to play catch up. If we have destroyed the economy in 7 weeks then that’s a worrying statement, one I don’t believe. We can recover‘ we can get back to where we once belong. ‘ The Beatles told us that in their famous song ‘ Get Back ‘, yes we need to Get Back to school to work and ok we’ve all discovered what we don’t need going forward so let’s enter that new world.

Car sales in April throughout Europe were a little over 4,000 compared to 168,000 in April 2019. The Industry is a big employer and we need to get back if we are to save thousands of jobs. This Industry is just one example. The virus has been savage an intruder of life, a destroyer of homes that invisible enemy that we can’t see but must fight and responding commercially is one tool in the box.

There are 8 Bank Holidays in the UK in 2020 that’s 1.6 working weeks that we could claw back and every little helps. The Bank employees are losing their jobs at the best of times with Banking Apps and Invisible Bank Managers , gone are the days of relationship it’s now all about the app and more Bank Holidays invite the employees to keep signing their death warrants ( don’t say we didn’t tell you ). I for one have cancelled any summer or 2020 holiday and the family have rallied around with good humour and fight back.

Let’s Get Back, Get Real and Get Going. For those in Industries that don’t permit to Get Back then let’s get equipped for the new world, learn new skills, learn a new language, get fit, change the old and prepare for the new. We can all make it if we Get Back, Get Real and Get Going.
