At a time Companies are going bust left right and centre with others begging bowl in hand are looking for Treasury support, Covid deaths continuing and great uncertainty the holiday weekend is dominated by Durham man.
Chief Advisor to the PM made two domestic trips to homeland Durham during Covid lockdown. The Advisor was seen walking in the woods with his wife. The PM says that he wasn’t visiting his lover ( could a wife possibly be a lover ? Could the woods possibly be for anything other than a Teddy Bear Picnic ? )
Westminster seems to be baying for resignation, it’s a frenzy , a witch hunt and clearly the Durham trips are a trip wire to rid us of this troublesome advisor. The man is hated by so many, the architect of Brexit, the bane of MPs and yet none of us know much about him. If one has to judge the book by its cover he looks as weird as those he sought to join his Downing Street Team. Clearly he is someone who thinks outside the box, is that such a bad thing ? Clearly he is a rebel with a cause, a swamp drainer a status quo shifter. The guy looks like he doesn’t follow the rules even those written by himself yet as I don’t know him I don’t know, I’m guessing I’m gut instincting ( is there such a word ? )
What I do know is the Durham Drive, the Walk in the Woods are not sufficient reason for resignation. If the guy is any good then we need a brain at the bench and the sooner he gets back from Durham the better. Rules are Rules but these are guidance only not written in law and adults are required to be adults, responsible not reckless. Durham Dominic had a sick wife, a young child and parents who could help. Let’s get a life, leave the bloke alone and get on with what’s important. I’ve been to Durham yes it’s beautiful like many parts of Britain.
If those with the long knives want rid of him then they will not stop to do so but in all their doing they do look ridiculous especially against the more important.
