Your Unique Blueprint

A long time ago a couple Elimelech and Naomi escaped a famine in Judea and fled around 1800 miles to Moab ( Jordan ). There , their two sons married local women Ruth and Oprah.
Sadly the three men of the household all died and the three widows now remained. Naomi, planned to return to Judea, her town of Bethlehem, and encourages the two daughter in laws to return to their families. One of the girls Oprah does but Naomi insists staying with Naomi declaring ‘ where you go, I will go, where you stay I will stay, your people shall be my people and your God , my God, where you die I will die , where you are buried I will be buried ‘
It is a declaration of love and devotion it is a story of loyalty. Ruth fulfils her pledge and with Naomi travels the 1800 miles into a foreign land. There Ruth remarries Boaz and her great grandson becomes King leafing eventually to the descendent of Jesus Christ. Love and Loyalty rewarded in a way that mere man could not devise or plan.
Today we too could be living in a land where a refugee has left their home to come to a foreign land to see their loss be overturned for something much greater. In that we must try to respect those that are displaced through often no fault of their own and invariably their own desires are to remain and to not face the daunting despair of change. Therefore we should embrace life as it flows and not try to change that flow of the river or interfere with the ebb and flows of the natural tide for in that we may too not interrupt our own destiny.
What happened to Oprah we don’t exactly know for the book is silent. Maybe her descendant went on to run a TV show and become one of the richest women in the world. Whatever happened , God had the plan, the blueprint for your life and despite its losses and hardships in the end there is good up ahead. Don’t always read too much into your circumstances today , go with the programme you just never know where it ends. It is your unique blueprint.
