No sooner at the passing of the Jewish Supreme Court Judge Ruth Bader Ginsburg fittingly on the day of the New Year 5781, The President wants to move fast and appoint a Judge to follow her.
Such a move upsets the Democrats 44 days before the Election for President as they fear a Conservative appointment away from Liberal Gingsburg. A front runner is Amy Coney Barrett from Indiana , a so called devout Roman Catholic, mother of 7 children. Sadly ( in my opinion ) she has found it necessary to defend herself and in my opinion becomes someone who will run with the fox and hunt with the hounds. Defending herself as a “faithful Catholic”, Barrett replied: “I would stress that my personal church affiliation or my religious belief would not bear in the discharge of my duties as a judge.”
Seriously if her beliefs have zero impact on her decisions then what will be her moral compass , her ethical guide. If what it says on the tin is not her then what does one rely on. Is she simply that plain clothed Catholic that are so many amongst the 1.2 billion plus on the planet ? In Christianity we see so many of our so called leaders sitting on fences all over the place and as a result the flock suffers. Now the Judges are sitting there or rather going to sit there and Law takes a place as Guide over God and we bow to that steer of precedent rather than God’s word.
Ginsburg was not a devout Jew and according to Haaretz did not have an intimate relationship with Judaism which explains part of her legal hat philosophy. If our leaders and our Judges do not practice what they preach then surely they are hypocrites and would be more truthful to best say ‘ look I was born into this but it’s not going to affect you ‘
Why are we now in a world where people won’t stand up for what they say they are and be elected or not for that , or are we to continue with fake ? A good Judge is someone who sees both sides and looks for common sense not the uncommon in their judgements. As precedent makes law why can’t we have trailblazers of what is right whether Catholic, Jew, Muslim or Whatever.
Jesus opposed the Establishment, the Hypocrites and the Pharisees in many of his Judgements and was entirely what He said on the tin, willing to die for it at such a young age. His judgement of the prostitute made everyone drop their stones and go back to their fences but the lady had her life change by the sheer wisdom of the Judge. Solomon in his judgement of the true mother of a child found as he commanded the baby to be split in half found the true mother as she begged him not to do so. Great uncommon sense.
Now America find Judges like that and change your nation and in turn the World. You can’t Judge a Judge by her Cover,
