There has been much talk of COVID-19 and the impact of it upon Christmas. Yet there has been little talk on the coming of Jesus the very celebration of Christmas and the impact He has on our lives. This weekend is the first Sunday of Advent in the Christian Calendar , marking the countdown of the celebration of the birth of the Saviour of the World.
We need that Saviour again, to now save the world from this Covid plague that has taken so many and culled everyone’s way of life. In Isaiah 64 he speaks of looking for God yet comments that that God works for those that wait for Him. Indeed wait we must and in that waiting we build faith in Him. Belief in Him is the only thing that pleases and as we wait , suddenly He moves and all our problems get solved. As the script says He is the potter and we are the clay in his hands.
But as clay to be moulded surely as Potter He saw all this coming. Of course He did but Covid 19 brought lessons to us all and unless we see these many have died and suffered in vain. Jesus suffered and died for us when He first came and He died in vain for those that don’t believe but He still to this day 2000 years on offers Himself as our Saviour.
What lessons did you learn from this pandemic, what changes will you make to your lives going forward ? These are questions to ponder as we wait for wait we must and wait for Him. He has the vaccine , the vaccine for the virus and the vaccine for our lives. The question then is are we ready and willing to take it. His life vaccine is free but He expects you to follow and rest in His hands like putty, like clay.
His life vaccine works 100% and once you take it and follow Him your life will never be the same again. His vaccine promises not only eternal life but a life now with more meaning and great substance a rock to hold on to when life gets difficult as inevitably it does and at times where hope is all we have. This weekend is the first of four weeks before Christmas and there perhaps is no better time to receive Him. He is waiting for you , just ask Him and invite Him into your life. If not this year then don’t worry , Jesus is there for as you wait for Him , He also waits for you. The Potter also told us that He is coming back, no one knows when only His Father so don’t wait too long take the His vaccine as soon as you can. It’s cure rate and life saving is 100%
