Dear Father Christmas

I am writing to you a few weeks before the. Day as my list is rather long this year and though I am a Prime member I wanted to ensure that all the gifts are on board.

Jeff Bezos has been doing an amazing job throughout the year but what I need I don’t believe he carries. First and foremost I want a vaccine that works for the cure for Cancer, it’s been so long coming and I know the Pharma people are fixated by Covid but don’t forget we’ve been waiting a long time for this killer to be quenched.

Secondly I would like a more permanent solution to the lack of food for many of the children in the world. I know many are wanting to give you their mince pie if only they had one to give.

Can you also bring an electric car for my Dad, one that works so he doesn’t have to pay carbon emission charge every time he goes into town. For my Mum can you please give her some rest, it’s been difficult for all of us at home this year and she needs a break. Daddy has finally stopped berating her and there’s no need thankfully to send that big reindeer this year to sort him out.

Can you please send some pills for my Uncle in America whose anxiety has increased of late still not knowing if Mr Trump will leave quietly. Please don’t send anymore socks or underpants this year, we are maxed out and what we really need is some more toilet rolls .

With Brexit about to happen can you please send some lifelines as we don’t know what’s going to happen and no one has yet received the new rules book. Everyone is getting worried but we’ve run out of worry down here after a year of Covid.

Last but not least I have a personal big favour to ask you. This year when you come down the chimney could you please stay a little longer as I wanted to run through my list for next year as I sense we might need the extraordinary by then.

I do want to thank you and the reindeers for coming again this year and we re slated the roof to make your landing less bumpy. We are all so grateful that you come and look forward to your annual visit. We love you Santa.
