Perspective

I passed over at 27,000 feet yesterday the Alps pictured above on my way to Turin. Known as the Crown of Italy which in fact touches 7 other nations and 750 miles wide it is the largest mountain range in Europe.

The Celts of Ireland, Scotland and Spain occupied these heights in 1500 BC and Hannibal led armies and 37 war elephants over them in 218 BC. Young Napoleon conquered them and the mountains can tell many stories of habitations and happenings. Hewn from the ice of climate change these up and downs wonderfully made, glacial glory strewn over thousands of years.

At the height of 27000 feet one sees life in plan from great height as one barely sees the curvature of our earth and one begins to see our granular contributions to era and epoch. Our life problems can be seen with different perspective and is a time to give thanks that we live and are alive today on this marvellous planet. The stewards at COP have important work to complete for indeed we are all stewards not owners , servants not masters and we must tread carefully.

As I write this blog I am looking over and at the Alps marvelling at their beauty this November day with snow capped peaks and granite grace proudly standing looking down at us all. Today think of yourself your contribution and how and where you fit in to the plan, how your efforts and part can play a role in the times to come as history and your legacy will speak to others. Change your perspective if necessary to see the bigger picture and your place on that canvas.
