Comeback

The darkest hour is 3am to 4am when conscience is run through when fear appears and we speculate serious scenarios. Add defeat or personal setback to the mix and darkness grips you by the throat.

Yet many have risen from this state of defeat to comeback, to elevate beyond their wildest expectations. Victory is sweet and it is something we will all experience. In Politics we have seen numerous comebacks to power none greater perhaps than Nelson Mandela who languished for 27 years in a cell no bigger than a shoe box but came out to lead the very nation that held him captive. Or Napoleon who banished in defeat to the island of Elba returned after 10 months to retake France.

In business we saw the likes of Apple and IBM turn their fortunes around from the jaws of insolvency. Comeback takes guts, perseverance and focus , hard work and hunger to correct. I’ve seen it and I know it. When others have seen you as out, finished and forgotten they are amazed at the turnaround , secretly admiring from the shores of schadenfreude

At Easter we witness the greatest comeback in history , Jesus dead and buried in a borrowed tomb , scorned and slandered , battered and butchered in excruciating torment fed a sponge of rotten wine to quench His thirst, makes comeback. When all around Him had written Him off after 3 days resurrection spending 40 days again on earth as a reminder for all time. This alone is the greatest comeback of all time , believed by many refuted by many yet with evidence in support and without it Christianity has no place.

For those that are down just now, get up, fight back, retrieve that which was lost or stolen and let the one that resurrected help you back to your restoration your rightful place on the victory rostrum. Your failure is your teacher not your captor and your comeback is yours. Go for it.
