Elizabeth

Let me queue to show my respect

Can’t you see on me its affect ?

Elizabeth no longer on the throne

Let me queue I’m now alone.

You , Elizabeth were always there

You took away all our care

You, Elizabeth our liege and Queen

No longer will you be lifelike seen.

At Christmas, 3pm on BBC

In armchair and our big settee

Brought comfort by what you said

Safer sleep in our bed.

Ok at times like when Dianna died

You were slow to move as we cried

Or Aberfan the coal mud slide

All our children tragically died.

At 25 you bore the Crown

You never let the country down

For 70 years and a few months more

Then you pass , emotions sore.

You produced the heir to follow you

Our Monarch King , and three more too

Annus Horiblis , when Windsor burned

From Mrs Simpson little learned.

Harry , Meghan they ran away

Told all to Oprah , she had her say

For Andrew’s mess she had to pay

And Andrew pays the price each day.

But in the end her reign superb

Forget the negatives and all that blurb

Rest In Peace , immensely deserved

Now it’s time for God to serve , Elizabeth.
