Over Chinese Dinner in London last night I met Tang Yu , the new Chief Executive Officer of the $10 billion Chinese Corporation Net Dragon Websoft. Tang Yu was recently appointed and is the first Virtual Humanoid Robot to lead a Metaverse Corporation.
At dinner I said Tang Yu for coming at very short notice , yet despite my generous offering Tang ate very little and despite my pancakes and crispy duck, Tang Yu chose to duck out not in and even the Singapore noodle refused. I was left to finish the food and sat alone munching on such great food in the Victoria Sichuan Restaurant.
Tang Yu kept talking meantime and explained that he expected to increase Execution speed as well as ensuring a fairer workplace environment for his employees. The Chairman of the Company Dr Deijian Liu was unable to attend the dinner but believes that Tang Yu will be the first of many Humanoid Robots to occupy Corporate life and work with us humans , alongside us in the years to come. Jack Ma of Alibaba fame did say that by 2030 the likes of Tang Yu would be running you and me.
The Takeaway if you like was not the bok Choy vegetable but the fact that Tang Yu was clearly here to stay and the future world we will occupy. Whilst I find that a tad lonely I takeaway solace that business entertaining will be virtually eradicated and these Executives are able to run on empty forever. I did have to settle the bill only because the Bitcoin that Tang Yu offered was not yet accepted.
One day perhaps there will be Digital Diners which Tang Yu might feel more at home in but until then he’s stuck with the likes of me. In any event the chopsticks may have been a bit difficult for him to have eaten with but as you will see above I stuck with the sticks. On my way home I drove by an Advertising Hoarding showing Avatar the new movie and I wondered how the world had changed since Charlie Chaplin, sausage rolls and meat pies, knives and forks and humans working.
I told you all would change when Queen Elizabeth died and even Buckingham Palace looked empty as I drove passed last night. Tang Yu very much for taking the time out to read the blog and perhaps one day you might break my loneliness and join me for dinner. Yu pay in Liu of me. ( ancient Chinese proverb )
