HM Government.

The great Titanic famously sunk on its maiden voyage and similarly the Truss Government is currently topsy turvy on the High Waters of Westminster. The Ship’s purser was pushed overboard this morning ( as predicted in todays Earlier Blog ). Meantime Captain Liz is going on Deck later to address the passengers and crew.

Imagine for a moment the great ship HM Government out at sea. It’s a very big ship and it has suffered great loss of all its fellow European ships in escort. The ship floated without assist for 2 years when a bug hit it all and money had to be printed at sea to survive , £980 billion of it. Someone then said that a sailing bill to pay was £2.4 trillion that’s right two thousand four hundred billion, if we ever decided to disembark.

One of the crew inadvertently went on the ship tannoy to announce that the free bar was open to those who could afford it and that Ship’s Company were going to pay the heating bill for everyone. On top of that across the high seas all ships were being threatened by nuclear submarines by a Russian Captain who was reputedly sick. The ship meantime sailed on.

The fact is there’s not going to be any quick fix. The rescue ship SS Labour is Captained by a Solicitor who only act on instructions. Captain Starmer hates making any decisions himself and his hourly rate , no one can afford. Reality must prevail and HM Government needs to get into safe harbour and Ships Company and all those on board will need to work very hard to turn this thing around. The reality is we can’t afford any change but desperately need Lifeboats with Common Sense, Prudence and Wisdom to come get us.

Jeremy Hunt is the new Purser and please don’t be confused by ‘ The Hunt for Red October ‘ ( that was only a movie from the book) . This is a new movie produced by Downing Street Productions called , ‘ Jeremy Hunt in October ‘ . Yes another submarine that could be sunk. The fact is this is not a situation that will be turned around overnight. The only problem is that like Titanic we could hit an iceberg overnight. Icebergs don’t forget are 90% unseen so if you throw in China, Inflation, Ukraine, Refugees and Mr Putin you’ll begin to get the picture.

The good news is that swimming lessons start this evening on deck after dinner. The bad news is that for many dinner will not be served as they have no food banks out at sea , bit like all the High Street banks that are closing down as fast as the money is running out.

Aye Aye Captain. All aboard.
