Uncle Joe.. Biden welcomed Rasheed Sunook as Britain’s new Prime Minister. His greetings brought a new dimension to our special relationship especially as Rasheed ( above ) knew nothing about having to lead a nation or for that matter leave his mountain home to enter Number 10 Downing Street.
Sunook who is 96 tomorrow has heard of the United States yet the only President he knows runs his local cricket club. He’s never heard of Joey B , however was looking forward to doing so. When asked , Rasheed confirmed that he had heard of Britain and remembered that his previous Queen was once Empress of a nation she had never seen. Sunook also recalled that a very big diamond had been taken out of the country slipping through Customs like a spoon through rasmali.
Meantime back in the USA aides rushed to tell Joe that he had gotten the wrong guy and that an English boy called Rishi Sunak from Southampton was in fact the new incumbent. Joe remonstrated saying ‘ whatever the goddam name is who cares ‘ Adding that he doesn’t know what day of the week it is. Biden did say he’s looking forward to meeting King Rishi soon but he then had to be reminded it was Charles who was now King.
The fact is with Rishi at the helm there is more chance now of a trade deal with India and Mr Modi than a trade deal with America. Biden was told he may now have to join a queue and Joe said he would never wait on any Indian but would circle the wagons around the White House in case of any retribution.
