Postcard at Christmas

The qbitblogger wanted to thank all of you for following the posts this year and send you seasonal greetings. The blog is followed now in 25 countries across the world and some postings end up in Publications in these various countries. One follower from Tasmania loves the photographs. The lead nation is UK but USA , Italy and China are up there too. Poland lies bottom.

The most read blog ever was ‘ The Mother Queen ‘ following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth this year. One observation I would make is in this very fast world little mention of her since is a big notice for me. The run up to Christmas was themed with a few of the Dickens characters in parallel to those the blogger has met. Very little has changed with humanity in 175 years and we all meet these characters in our regular life today. Abel Magwitch was the biggest read. Obviously the whole 998 characters he created could not be covered although his works actually mentioned 13,000 individuals. How many people do you know ?

2022 has been an awful year for many and Europe saw war again. Britain had three Prime Ministers and I think 4 Chancellors as financial farce mesmerized the masses. We lost our great Queen of course but look forward to our King.

We of course celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas though historians would point to a March not December birth. The fact is there were no calendars hanging in the Stable at the time so we won’t know exactly when until we get to ask. The prophet Isaiah summed up all in the ninth chapter of the book of his name in the sixth verse. The great prophet foretold His coming about 750 years prior to the birth. That’s amazing is it not ? Anyway here it is.

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Thank you all again and if you’re driven crazy by the sight in your inbox of the blog no offence unsubscribe. If you do want to share with a friend then do. There are too many opinions out there too much to read and too little time. I did want to say however that the best thing you can do is reach out and help someone and you will be blessed. My daughter brought choke to my throat this week when I heard that she helped a middle aged woman on her own get to hospital and did all her washing for her as illness prevented the same. I was immensely proud of her and afterwards she told me ‘ Dad I really felt great peace and real joy doing that ‘ . I tell you that’s the Christmas we should all be having . Reach out touch someone with need and then see what happens to you. That’s Christmas and that’s the message on the Postcard from your qbitblogger. Enjoy and Rest.
