All three interpretations come together in the sacking of Graham Potter the Chelsea Manager. Indeed reference was only made yesterday in the Palm off to short lived Soccer Manager tenures. After 31 matches and a string of losing games the clay at Graham Potter’s wheel has broken and like stick man above must walk. As someone born and bred in the Borough Chelsea was never a club for Potter to join, Potter suited the seaside town of Brighton not the hip Chelsea Kings Road get a new life style of Chelsea. In a 11th place and 12 points from relegation the crazy new owners from across the pond have no idea. The heap of funding from the Yanks won’t work. Ironically Brighton are in 6th place contenders for Europe.

Stamford Bridge of course is in Fulham who are also doing far better a place above their neighbor. Bring back Ted Drake, Tommy Docherty or Dave Sexton I say but what was wrong with Tuchel ? Potter probably now had enough funds to retire and my suggest if he wants to stay in soccer management is to go to a second tier team and try to work his whatever coaching skills again as he did by the sea.
