When Christ cried out ‘ it’s finished ‘ His head dropped forward and died. At that moment the earth shook, darkness mid afternoon fell, the morning of violence over and the realization He’s gone. We have of course seen the box set series but those around at the time would have believed it was all over , words we have heard on another occasion.
What must have it felt like at that moment , absence descended, hope gone , victory stolen, defeat reigns, back to where we were ? We know that feeling when despite otherwise we read the runes and see through the glass darkly. We believe in many situations the worst the outcome is in concrete and we accept things as fact.
What is impossible with man is possible with God. Yes at that moment He’s gone but gone is a continuance where had He gone to ? Death we see with loved ones is the end but the truth is it’s only the beginning. Jesus had gone that Friday but on Saturday He was gone to get back those Kingdom keys from man’s enemy . He had gone to set the captives free , Adam and Eve included and all those bound by Satan who in process got locked in now defeated by that cross and His sacrifice .
You’ve been there when you think it’s the end only to find that it’s really the beginning as you step into the new and only hindsight explains why and reasons what really was going on at that moment you experienced loss when it was truly gain.
In the natural the Apostles, His mother and followers would have been dejected and as they did they gathered together to mourn. Little did they know what was going on in the dark and in that realm of the spirit. We often believe only that which we see but isn’t it marvelous to know that the real is really going on where we don’t see. Behind the scenes is more potent than our scene and we can be glad of that.
Whatever bad or negative that is going on in your life today put that aside for one moment and stop to consider that what really is happening, that which you can’t see or fathom. Can you see in the dark , can you understand in the befuddled state of mind. No. Today wait sit back contemplate He’s gone, He’s gone to sort it out He’s gone to sort them out. It’s a ‘ leave it to me ‘ moment and it’s going on today. The story is not over you just need to be patient to wait. Can you do that now He’s gone ?
