In June 2023 the blogger in the post ‘ Hide Park Cornered. ‘ highlighted congestion at Hyde Park Corner caused by the London Mayor single lane strategy on Park Lane. I write this as a passenger on the Number 14 bus and the photo shows the complete lock jam of traffic at 4pm today.
Nothing is moving and as a nation we can’t move forward as a country if we can’t move. Motor cyclists, pedal cyclists Mount the pavement putting the pedestrians at risk. Someone is going to be killed here sometime soon. There is a solution that worked for over 60 years but the Mayor screwed up the City. London is in deep trouble.
The tourists can’t get around, the locals or the few left can’t access their daily business and the poor bus driver is preparing for his / her first heart attack. The new Peninsula Hotel stands alone as access nigh impossible. I beg for the reversion to the moving flowing traffic system. If no one can hear the cry then so be it but London will die if this continues. The very heart of the city is blocked the arteries choked not by volume but by nonsensical policies . The Horse and Carriage was faster and the London bus that wonderful invention is crawling to the garage graveyard.
Take the bus avoid the fuss and plan to arrive in the Spring. It’s a nightmare in daylight.,Mayor let’s get rid of all movement other than get you out of office 2024.
