Faithfulness

When was the last time you experienced faithfulness towards you ? We live in world where there is let down and others behaviour can disappoint us. It happens in relationships , situations and circumstances outside our control.

Politicians , our so called leaders let down their electors consistently with broken promises or policy reversals and they drive backwards. In partnerships be they in business or personal faithfulness is a rare commodity that can’t be valued on life’s balance sheet.

Staying together through thick and thin , through good times and tough times is a marriage vow yet many fail to keep their promise and we see divorce and break up as regular as clockwork. Companies split , shareholders won’t wait and players leave teams for a better offer. The grass seems greener on the other side but to stay and nurture the lawn is ultimately the best as the grass is greener on the inside.

Jeremiah the great prophet spoke of God’s faithfulness and if you take the time to acquaint yourself then you’ll see it manifest. In good times we don’t need God but in bad times where else do you go ? Many of course don’t believe in God and that suits them so why try change that, no relationship then so be it.

I believe and have seen God’s faithfulness new every morning and I look forward to all my tomorrows. Peculiarly it is God’s faithfulness to us and not ours to God that we hear of in Psalm 91v 4

It’s not religion it’s relationship, that’s what faithfulness is. Try it.
