Breaking Heart News

Some days you remember, most days you forget but I’ll remember this day. I remember the day Pope John the 23rd died, JF Kennedy assassinated and the afternoon Queen Elizabeth the Second died.

Now I will remember the day Navalny died. I’m at the airport waiting in a lounge and the breaking news came on my phone. My heart missed a beat when it raced through my mind. I never met the man and in all honesty I don’t know what sort of leader he could have made and would he just as awful as the current leader in power. I don’t know, I’ll never know.

One thing I do know is that post Putin poisoning and treated in Germany he went back to Russia doomed and destined to be imprisoned. Why did he go back ? I didn’t get it at the time and now it’s too late. He was brave and he believed, two of the greatest qualities a man can have.

My heart breaks for his family and his children. His imprisonment was nasty for as though the penal conditions in Russia are worse than bad he was moved into Siberia the grimmest place on earth thousands of miles away, deliberately nasty.

His crime ? Opposition to a Dictatorship. His punishment? Death preferably slow and designed to torture him and all his family and loved ones. Anyway the real breaking news is that Judgement Day is coming when the Dictator will stand before God held to account for this life and all the lives and misery under his hand. It won’t be a pretty sight and though Navalny was doomed on his return the Dictator will be doomed in hell forever with no return. It’s called eternity. Nothing lasts forever but this and it’s not a place to go. As for Navalny he’s in perfect peace and we can remember him with prayers and prayers for his family.
