A friend of a friend took this photograph at 9.39am yesterday morning in Florida, the Bible Belt of America. The Cross the very symbol of Christianity is clearly evident amidst that blue morning cloud free sky. There are over 100 Bible references to signs in the sky and in the last days as Nation fights nation we will see these.
From the events that surround us you may well believe that we are in the last days but the Bible tells us that no one will know the time but we are to look for the signs. Yes some clever wag or non believer will give scientific explanation but I prefer to take solace in these days that our creator God is telling us I’m in control guys.
Meanwhile across the sea I had a spiritual weekend in Milan where I was encouraged to see the fervour for God and the realisation that we can’t do life without recognition of the Great author , designer God. Milan is a city like London of abundant crime from so called ‘ baby gangs ‘ yet there are similar youth searching for God and the peace that they know can be found giving us hope that not all is bad with our young folk. Let’s look out for the good signs.
Meantime Deeply saddened by the murder of Navalny and the strong arm shutdown to commemorate his life we know that today he’s at final peace away from the fight for freedom and his death too can become a sign that we are not in control of our lives and God will take us home through whatever means.
Jesus Christ died for all of us on the cross to save us from the evil that pervades and in doing so hope to those that believe and the assurance of eternal life. Now that’s a sign worth having .
