We are living in uncertain times, we are confronted with decisions and at life’s crossroads we often don’t know which way to go.
As Christians we are encouraged to pray and ask God through His Spirit to guide us as to what should be done in any given situation. In Chapter 10 in the book of Mark verse 51/52 we hear that Jesus on meeting a blind man asks him ‘ What do you want me to do for you ? . The man asks for his sight to be recovered and Jesus tells him that his faith has healed and his sight immediately recovered.
Now I would think that it was obvious what the man would ask for but that was not the case for he could have asked for sight recovery but something else. Now the question is that if you met Jesus today what is it you would ask for ?
The man in the story was clearly not born blind and he wanted recovery but he may have wanted something else having known nothing else. However he had lost his sight and wanted it back. Yes it is never obvious even to ourselves what exactly we want and it is something profound to think of today. What would you ask Jesus for.
What do you have faith for ? For faith is what it will take to receive it. It is a wonderful prospect for those that believe that today we can go to Jesus and if He asks us we through faith can receive.
One small thing I need say however before you go off to ponder. In the preceding 48th verse the blind man cried out ‘ son of David , have mercy on me ‘ and upon hearing the man cry out Jesus told his helpers to bring the man to him. Therefore you must call out to Him, He will hear you and then ask the question so listen carefully and get ready your answer is awaited.
