Yes , winter is over and Spring has arrived. What a horrible winter it was and good riddance to rain, drain and damage to our brain. Today we will be kept in the dark as much as in the light when truth matches fiction.
As the season of Lent comes to a climax with Holy Week , crucifixion and resurrection, death meets hope , hope of a new life when old dies and new is birthed. It’s a season of change and a new beginning.
It’s been a rotten few months and there was little we can rely on in these times but I love those children stories that start ‘ Once upon a time ‘ or those from the Bible ‘ it came to pass ‘ both demonstrating that nothing lasts forever. Change is here and I say bring it on.
The closing lyrics in the 1969 song of the Beatles playing for the last time is on the Abbey Road Album. It says ‘ and in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make ‘ . It is life’s equinox when day meets dark in equal measure and the love you take equal to the love you make.
Let our world leaders hear that and let the warmongers know the folly of fighting, to abandon their dark and enter the light. Nothing hidden remains hidden and is eventually exposed. Luke 8 v 17. For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.
