Over the season that’s Easter we know what happens on Friday and Sunday but we don’t know what happens on Saturday. That in between when all seems lost and outcomes not known, uncertainty reigns. It’s an uncomfortable place to be an awkward period in a time of struggle.
You need to know, God will not leave you alone with your struggles. His silence is not his absence, inactivity is never apathy. Saturdays have their purpose. They let us feel the full force of God’s strength. Had God raised Jesus fifteen minutes after the death of His son, would we have appreciated the act? Were He to solve your problems the second they appear, would you appreciate His strength?
Have you been there ? I have.
Delay is not denial yet our minds can run havoc and it’s the grab of this garbled emotion we need to fix. Don’t you just love the idea that your problem or issue is being dealt with. That sound of ‘ leave it to me ‘ music to the ear of angst.

When all seems lost and it must have felt like that on Friday and that was it. Alas it wasn’t it was just the beginning and 2000 years on we still talk about it. Scripture calls us to be patient like the farmer that waits for his harvest. Easier said than done but silent Saturday it is and no action is action. Remain expectant , think positive results, get ready for Sunday is coming. Prepare yourself and be prepared to embrace the next with all your heart and all your mind. You can do it. Let’s remain in silent Saturday and be present, mindful of its purpose and power in our lives.
