We have experienced being on a train and the tannoy announced that we are to ‘ all change ‘. To move to another platform as the train we are on is going no further. Today we are in a season of ‘ All change ‘ and as hard as change can be, change we must. That 20th century train has finally come to an end.
Gone is our trust in the established Institutions from the Post Office to the Politicians, from the Choirs to the Church, from the banks to the Bitcoin there is little we can rely on Change is often preceded by chaos and the chaos we have seen with wars between nations and on the stabbing streets of cities across the UK.
We see chaos in families , we see abundant abuse and the ever widening economic gaps which appear like earthquakes and similarly destroy. We see extreme climate, the warmest and wettest May on record , Texas tornados and floods galore.
In India , UK , Mexico , USA we are seeing new leaders entering the arena of authority. Some leaders bring in the same old same old and many don’t have the answers to the multitude of mess.

In the last 200 years mankind has seen the greatest change. We have become taller, reach puberty earlier , live longer and for some muscles required say for climbing no longer exist. We are capable of temporarily replacing some organs and science is replicating robots to act a helper companions. None of us will recognise the place in the next 200 years. We know the body changes with age but mankind has sought to interfere as plastic gets drastic and photo images are altered to appease the viewing eyes or so they believe. Fake is easy to make and the truth everywhere looks a negotiable.

Mankind therefore has a lot to contend with which is probably why we are limited by time and each have our own sell by dates. To contend with change is a challenge yet that train ain’t going nowhere and progress is process. We are all created for such a time as this. We are all constantly changing into seasons and times that Solomon spoke of. Meanwhile enjoy the journey embrace the landscapes of life and prepare for the next destination that only some believe in. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, the author doesn’t change and the book is written. Whatever chapter or even sentence we are doesn’t matter , we are all part of the train timetable. I’m not sure how far the journey is but I’m convinced of the stations beyond.
Where do you think you are ? Where do you think you’re going ? Well worth a ponder as you wait for the next train.
