The eleventh verse of the 84th Psalm says that ‘ the Lord God is a sun and shield that bestows favour and honour , no good thing does He withold from those whose walk is blameless. ‘
At 4.47am today the sun rose and I went on top of the valley to see it. Not as a Stonehenge groupie but as a person to marvel at creation and the beauty that surrounds us. As I stood there the Psalm came to my mind hence the blog entry.
I can’t claim a blameless walk for I have failings but having turned away from all the headline wrong doings life brought in the change and I then began to see the ‘ good thing ‘ show up.
The Psalm applies to us all today , yesterday and for as long as you are here. No you don’t have to rise so early to see it as it’s always there just like God. Rising in the east and setting in the west we are treated daily to the event and as sure as the sun moves so can God move in your life.
You can if you like call on Him or He may decide to call on you. Ever present need in times of trouble. Some of my friends don’t believe but I’m going with the Creator of the heavens and the earth the galaxies and the universe, the baby in the womb and the miracles we all see in all our lives.
