Among the theories from the attempt on the life of Donald Trump comes one that speaks of Divine Intervention. The aptly named would have been assassin named Crooks missed Trump by one half inch winging him in his right ear. Crooks was known more for his mathematical abilities over his shooting skills measuring that vital one half inch but missing the target.
In the Garden of Gethsemane we know that Peter the follower of Christ cuts the ear off the centurion in an attempt to protect Christ. Immediately Christ lifts the ear in an act of divine intervention and places the ear without mark back on the centurion head.
There are many stories of divine intervention too numerous to name but too clear to disregard. Angels have appeared in battle like at Mons and there are numerous supernatural interventions that I have witnessed.
The sceptics would question the intervention of God to save someone as contentious as Trump but His ways are not our ways. Psalm 75 verses 6 and 7 tells us that God is the one who promotes and lifts people up . Equally He can put people down often after they have been lifted high and tested.
The Butler Pennsylvania event may have been allowed to happen to remind him of his fragile mortality ahead of taking high office again. For the first time last night he was seen and not heard, bandaged ear looking still bemused and doubtless thankful for such divine intervention.
Psalm 91 v 4 tells us that God is our shield the protection from the arrow that flies by day. Trump now has testimony and his popularity has increased from what was meant to be bad was turned around for good.
Whether Biden or Trump or someone else succeeds to the Presidency in November, God will have been involved as the one who exalts, who elevates.
