It is not every night I get invited out with Mrs Blogger to a life changing event , change that impacts the heart emotionally and the head practically.
We attended the London Premiere of the Sound of Hope at the Empire Leicester Square London. Pre film it was an honour to meet Donna and Reverend Martin , true life heroes out of Texas ( makes the Alamo look tame and Davy Crockett a wimp ).
The fact is there are 400,000 children being adopted / fostered in the USA today and presently 100,000 looking for placement. The children come as damaged goods, abused often traumatised by their real parents then abandoned to the State. Yet like a giant safety net these families come along with love . Real love not valentine card stuff, love that works and works hard daily , constant compassion support and being there. Love comes at great price but for people like the Martins a price worth paying.
The movie was Produced and Directed by Joshua Weigel whom I had the honour to meet last night. Joshua has a passion and I learned much from this man and his ambition to bring hope and topic real life issues through love.
The invitation to attend came from my wife’s good friend Carrie, a mover and shaker whose gift is bringing people together for purpose and who along with my wife shed tears as the movie rolled out.
Jesus adopted us at His cross and His love took the great suffering , dying so that there would be resurrection and the hope that springs eternal. Hope has a sound of its own and without hope we cannot live. For the children it’s a second chance to wave goodbye to rejection and embrace the kind of love we see in this tremendous movie.
Go see it guys it will impact your life and maybe inspire you to go do it.
