In the 12th Chapter of the Book of Daniel it says that in the last days we will be rushing to and fro and that man’s knowledge will greatly increase.
The increase in knowledge allows us to access by fingertip in seconds what we 30 years ago found by going to the Library. No one speaks to each other any longer as we dialogue digitally. Designed to be more efficient where are we all rushing to ?
On a motorway speed course I found that travelling at 70mph rather than 50mph saves three minutes early arrival time over a 10 mile journey. The Government want HS2 built at an unknown cost circa £100b so we can all get to Birmingham 12 minutes earlier.
Talking of madness ( yes mental health is on the increase ) two Oxford graduates committed suicide last week and my friend had at the weekend to talk his son down from jumping of a 9 storey building.
Another friend from a far away land was perplexed at to why a small plate of raw fish was £45 or equivalent to what his pearl diving grandfather earned in 6 months. He was more concerned how America had elected a criminal to be President and how the grandson of a holocaust survivor was himself on the genocide trail.
I told him that people were in a rush , pay anything, do anything, be anything just to get their way at the moment of contact.
Anyway it’s Monday morning, the trains may not be running in Brexit Britain but Heathrow Airport had its busiest week on record last week. The call back to the office gets louder because without the commuters there won’t be a need for trains and we must overpay the train drivers ( we all know that ).
Meantime we are all rushing to those tiny screens to scroll and roll away our time on the planet. We have no time to talk to discuss we are all in a rush. Chat GPT and AI have all arrived and I’m told it will completely change all of our lives. Our brains are being readied to be comatose for in the rush to come we will not need to think. The Zombies have it, the robots can do the rush, Frankenstein lives and we vegetables can lay in our vegetable beds and scroll on screens forever.
Everything is ok , free speech with opinions now redundant, movement around cities restricted, and when you’re told to stay indoors you will. Don’t worry Jeff and Elon will take care of all as they enter Government to deliver everything we need to survive on Moon , Mars and Earth. Yes it’s all change and that’s the rush my friends.
