Here tonight at the home of London’s once meat market , and previously a long time ago where the humans were hung drawn and quartered. I believe William Wallace of Braveheart fame was slaughtered here.
Nowadays things got a bit more civilised as we came down to the basement to listen to Anna Incontro of Italian origin with her orchestra entertain from her new album ‘ New Chance ‘
The surprise of the night was how excellent her voice and vibrant personality led us into a night to remember. The orchestra , strings , drums , piano , guitars , saxophone and trumpet literally blew us all away.
The venue reminded me of the Cavern in Liverpool and one wonders how so much talent can come out of the lower ground. Anna has humour and the audience laughed as much as clapped.

At a time we all need cheer we find so much musical talent probably similar to that found in the dark days pre world wars in Paris , Berlin and London. The amazing thing about music is it changes mood and relaxes us. When we got to that point in the evening when Anna sang her title album song ‘ New Chance ‘ she led with some spoken wisdom ‘ its not lost if you don’t get lost ‘ and lost we will not for here we found real talent.
Anyway it’s been a great evening and I recommend her new album ( no I’m not on commission) but just try and catch it on Spotify. Anna is a music teacher and along with her orchestra real musicians at work real professionals. William Wallace would have loved it but perhaps not to have revisited the venue.
