Drop Off

Seeing this morning the above entrance to a restaurant I thought of the marvel of English language. Drop off is a phrasal verb. Drop is from the ancient German word for drip ( dropfen )

James Bond and other spies had a drop off point as well as meaning about to fall asleep. It’s also slang for a brown envelope. I have heard it reference to death and the fact that ‘ he is about to drop off ‘

Be that as it may it is motion of one thing or another. So before you drop off reading this enjoy your day and look forward to the signs .
