Mothers

Yes, its been commercialised but today is Mothers Day. As we all honour our Mothers past and present it is good to single out a day but for all of us it’s every day. Some Mothers give birth to us some like step Mothers come forward at a time , some have chosen to adopt us, some have been unable to bring us up yet remain our mother.

The characteristics of being a mother knows no bounds, patience, humility being supportive and authoritative , there but not always present , believing in us always and always being for us. Motherhood is one off. My own Mother scolded me to set me on the right path but was my biggest fan and her prayers were never ending. It is fit and proper that we honour them and we are commanded to do so.

In a world that many don’t even know their mother we can be saddened yet they will never forget you and whatever the reason of absence it will have explanation. For those that enjoy close Union be thankful. For those that are estranged seek reconciliation and forgive them. For those whose Mothers have passed away don’t worry they are watching you and waiting for that great day of meeting again.

Mothers will defend their children see no wrong in their child but never admit and defend with all their hearts. If you see a good mother she will be stand out in a crowd and she will at some point hand the batten over to someone in the relay but continue in the race alongside often unseen yet there. Today we celebrate the flowers will fly the restaurants will fill the graves visited and the memories forever there. I love my Mother and though she passed 18 years ago I sometimes forget and go to call her to tell her something. I still remember her landline number and before she died I spent great times in discussion with her, she was my ever friend, my faithful and I respected her more today than then.

So Mothers enjoy your day and thank you for everything.
